With her sophomore album, Both Sides Of Lonely, this national and international touring artist has evolved beyond the folky troubadour of her lauded debut Not The Marrying Kind, becoming a torchbearer for classic country and western and honky-tonk that strikes a satisfying balance between vintage and modern.Glide Magazine says: "Billingsley has grabbed many an ear with her throwback honkytonk sound that combines shades of the modern and past- think Sierra Ferrell, Lucinda Williams, and Tammy Wynette. Alongside her introspectively outspoken lyrics and steel-driven sound, Billingsley evokes dusty neon light taverns where the draft beer is served cold and the locals still run the joint."

LYON$ - 10pm

No tickets. No cover.

About LYON$:

Cosmic country band LYON$ thrives on breaking boundaries, dialing up the soul and twang for a raucous sound all their own. With a wicked psychedelic streak in their back pocket, they draw inspiration as much from frontman Trey Lyons’ East Tupelo, Mississippi, roots as from their current big city home, Chicago. Their second album Confused and Confrontational reflects their growth as a band, with a cohesive sound celebrating their deep love for ‘60s soul and hard-edged honky-tonk. Confused and Confrontational was recorded in part at the legendary FAME studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and features Billy Earhart (Amazing Rhythm Aces/Hank Williams Jr.) on piano and Hammond organ, with horns provided by Jody Lackey and Chris Plaskota on the songs “Stand” and “Hurricane.” The rest of the record was recorded at Uphill Recording Services in Chicago, Illinois, with engineer Kevin Tabisz at the helm. While the album honestly reflects tough topics like breaking up, getting back together, and mental health struggles, it also deals with navigating reentry into a changed world, with more love and empathy and offers a reminder to take it a little easier on everyone around you who may be struggling themselves. The result is cosmic country at its finest–affirmative, transcendent, and free. LYON$ is Trey Lyons (vocals/guitar), Mike Hicks (guitar/piano/vocals), Ian Lee (bass), and Nick Ohlson (drums/percussion).

Each song is a unique confessional, a portrait of a moment in time, poured out of her like the best bottle of wine on a back porch. Heartache, new romance, and introspection are all common themes that are held together with threads of vulnerable moments– a shared cigarette, a head on a shoulder. About Wild Earp & The Free For Alls:

Wild Earp takes you on a road trip across Americana, taking his time along those country roads and learning some bad habits in the city. His songs are of a man who’s spent too much time alone in the forest, the prairie, the mountains, the desert, and the barroom. With a respectful nod to the old masters and a defiant scoff at the purists, Earp croons his country tunes, and mixes those pensive trail songs with jumping rockabilly, spirited bluegrass, rowdy rock, and sometimes ventures into the dark corners of folk. His lyrics thread traditional tales of heartache, sinful living, and celebration seamlessly with social commentary and absurdism. There’s wit, wisdom, woe, and a wild streak that keeps you guessing. He’s backed by The Free for Alls, a talented and fun-loving cast of characters who give life and depth to the music. Their hootin’ and hollerin’ enthusiasm is matched by their good taste and broad talents, and they leave nothing off of the table.  They ain't too hard on the eyes, neither!

About The Revenirs:

The Revenirs sound revolves around singer/songwriter Daniel Rey's tales of "sorrow and solitude" and features Dennis Kardys on lead guitar and Dean Radzik on drums–both alums of Chicagoland alt-country darlings, "The Dirty Green"– alongside former "The Soup" (Denton TX) bassist, "Dodgy Mary" (Chicago) vocalist and Lone Star Native "Catfish" Willy Hudson on bass.“Daniel Rey” began as the solo Alt-country, side-project of singer/songwriter Dejan Kralj (day-on kraal), who has spent the last three and a half decades as the bass guitarist and one of the primary songwriters for Milwaukee's reclusive alternative-rock band, The Gufs. The former Atlantic Recording/EMI Publishing Artist and 2012 Wisconsin Area Music Industry Hall of Fame Inductee is a life-time resident of the Midwest, Rey (the Spanish translation of Kralj) and divides his time between his current home in the Veltway community of Berwyn on Chicago's near-westside and a small farm in Southeastern Indiana, which has been the source of his alt-folk/alt-country musings over the last twenty-five years. Daniel Rey has been performing throughout the Midwest since 2018 and released his debut LP “Living Low” on Milwaukee’s Red Submarine Records in 2020. Daniel Rey & the Revenirs are currently working on Rey’s follow-up and the band’s debut LP “Too Busy Dying” for release later this year.

Michelle Billingsley

Michelle Billingsley — 10pm

No tickets. No Cover.

About Michelle Billingsley:

Michelle Billingsley has a reputation for being unguarded, tackling subjects considered taboo for polite women.

Most importantly, each song delivers on the honest storytelling that makes country music worth listening to. No matter the venue, a Sparkle Carcass show is like a good night out: exciting, surprising, and a damn good time.

The Swains, fronted by father and daughter duo Jack and Rachel, boast striking family harmonies paired with rich songwriting and classic country instrumentation. With a repertoire of originals and classic country songs, the Swains perform with a full band country outfit including Ed Sullivan on bass, Chuck Harling on drums, and Dennis Andreatta on pedal steel or as a duo for more acoustic events. Their songwriting influences span country, southern rock, roadhouse, cosmic country, Americana, and red dirt, and reflect the Texas roots of Jack and Rachel.
